Welcome to the Boyertown Youth Wrestling Club Website Wood, Fretz, and Mathias place at PJW States
On March 23rd and 24th, the PJW State Championships were held at Hersheypark Arena. Boyertown was represented by five wrestlers, and three came home with medals. In the 13-14 age group, Jordan Wood won the gold medal at 212 pounds and Michael Fretz took 8th place at 167 pounds. For Wood, it was his third gold medal (also won in 2009 and 2011) at PJW States. In the 8 and under age group, Kellan Mathis took third at 80 pounds. Also competing in the tournament were Jacob Miller (9-10 yrs; 95 pounds) and Lucas Miller (13-14 yrs; 102 pounds). Jacob went 0-2 while Lucas went 2-2 ICWL OPEN RESULTS Boyertown Youth Wrestling completed its season by competing in the ICWL Open at Competitive Edge Training Center. Boyertown had a total of eleven medals. Champions were: Zak Reck, David Campbell, Gregg Harvey and Jordan Wood. Runners-up were: Ethan Detwiler, Kellen Mathias, and Matt Wilde. Third place was: Kade Davidheiser, Hunter Vogels, and Jacob Gambone. Fourth place was Kyle Pry. Also competing in the team effort was: Luke Heimbach, Tristan Reynolds, Teague Miller, Matt Kratzer, Chance Babb, Ty Kennedy, Derick Basile, Justin and Brent Davidson, Connor Rohrbach, Chase Stehman, Broc Babb, Evan Detwiler, Tony Xanthopolous, Noah Fisher, William Coleman, Zane Alderfer, Jacob Miller, Ayden Mathias, Jakob Campbell, Dylan Cameron, Nick Moccia, Mickey Sedor, JT Cooley, Pierce Wright, and Zach Davis. In just his second year of wrestling, additional honors went to Nick Moccia as he was crowned the Division II Outstanding Wrestler.

On February 26th, twenty-two wrestlers from the Boyertown Youth Wrestling Club competed in the 55th Annual Berks County School Boy Invitational. Of those competitors, seventeen came home with medals. Champions honors were earned by: Chase Stehman, Kellen Mathias, Zane Alderfer, Nick Moccia and Zak Reck. Runners-up were Teague Miller, Ethan Detwiler,
